Nebraska’s Jordan Hooper scored 14 points, but Colorado used a 24-2 first half run to jump out to a big lead and never look back in a 70-45 win over the NU women on Sunday at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.
Sophomore point guard Lindsey Moore added 13 points, five assists and three steals, while junior guard Kaitlyn Burke had 12 points on the afternoon.
Colorado senior Brittany Spears led all scorers in double figures with 26 points, while Chucky Jeffery and Britney Blythe each pitched in nine points.
Nebraska hit just 17-of-59 shots from the field, including 3-for-17 (17 percent) from three-point range. CU shot well throughout the day, hitting 27-of-55 shots (49 percent), including 10-of-21 three-pointers.
The Huskers are 12-10 overall and 2-6 in Big 12 play.
