Baylor’s All-American Brittney Griner led all scorers with 23 points as the 6-8 sophomore led the #1 team in the nation to a 69-45 win over the Huskers at the Devaney Center on Wednesday night.
Nebraska’s Lindsey Moore scored a team-high 18 points, but NU missed their first six three point attempts in the opening five minutes of the game as Baylor jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never lost their double-digit lead.
Moore was 6-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-8 three-pointers, while adding four rebounds and five assists. Freshman forward Jordan Hooper added 15 points and five rebounds, but hit just 5-of-19 shots from the field, including 3-of-11 three-pointers.
Nebraska falls to 12-11 overall and 2-7 in the Big 12, while the Lady Bears improved to 22-1 and 9-0 in the league.
