State troopers seized 65 pounds of marijuana and made eight arrests during a series of recent traffic stops near Lincoln. On Monday, troopers pulled over an SUV on Interstate 80 and a drug dog reacted, leading to a search that uncovered 39 pounds of pot in duffel bags. The driver, from Oregon, and two passengers, both from Massachusetts, were arrested. Another traffic stop on I-80 on Sunday led troopers to more than ten pounds of marijuana in a car’s cargo area. A driver and two passengers, all from Ohio, were booked. On Saturday, a trooper pulled over an SUV for speeding, smelled pot and ferreted out 16 pounds in a pair of suitcases. A Wisconsin man and a Minnesotan were arrested.
