The young Nebraska women’s basketball team saw their season come to an last night in Kansas City in the opening round of the Big 12 tournament as the 12th seeded Huskers fell 69-61 to Iowa State.
Freshmen Jordan Hooper finished with a team high 16 points and seven rebounds. Lindsey Moore at 13 points and nine assists.
Iowa State hit just 35.5 percent (22-62) of its shots, including just 9-of-33 shots inside the arc, but the Cyclones connected on 44.8 percent (13-29) of their shots from three-point range. ISU was also 12-of-17 from the free throw line and outrebounded NU, 46-32.
The Huskers finished the season 13-18 including just three wins in conference play this year.
