A fender bender involving a semi-truck and a pickup on an Interstate 80 on-ramp had brought an arrest and a marijuana seizure. Saturday night about 5 o’clock, state troopers were called to a wreck on the eastbound onramp at Paxton where the semi and pickup collided. The trooper was given consent to search the pickup and found more than 58 pounds of pot in an external fuel tank in the truck’s bed. The driver, a 57 year old from New Hampshire, was arrested on drug charges and jailed in Keith County. Also Saturday, a trooper pulled over a pickup on I-80 near Kearney for non-working brake lights. A drug dog detected contraband and a search turned up more than seven pounds of marijuana, three pot plants and quantities of hashish and meth. The driver, a 36 year old Oregon woman, was arrested and jailed in Buffalo County.
