A death is prompting some administrative changes in one of the state’s largest hospitals.
Dr. Dave Crouse is being named interim vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean for graduate studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. His appointment was okayed at this week’s meeting of the university’s board of regents.
Crouse’s move comes after the death of Dr. Rubens Pamies late last month of an apparent heart attack while in Haiti. Pamies held the vice chancellor and dean’s post more than eight years.
Crouse has worked in research and teaching and is a professor in the department of genetics, cell biology and anatomy.
