After playing its first 21 games away from home, the 14th-ranked Nebraska softball team plays South Dakota for a Wednesday doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. in the team’s home opener.
The Huskers (19-2) have a seven-game winning streak. A win today will give Head Coach Rhonda Revelle her historic 700th win at Nebraska. Revelle is in her 19 seasons at Nebraska. At 19-2, the 2011 Huskers own two more wins than any other team in program history through 21 games. The Huskers have won 17 of their last 18 games since a loss to then-No. 1 Arizona in the third game of the season. During the streak, Nebraska has won four straight games against ranked teams, including two straight against top-10 opponents.
