Tornados to start the week… snow to end it. This is typical Nebraska weather. An early spring snow is leaving more than just a dusting of white stuff. Rich Chermok is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Valley and says the overnight snow will be followed with another throughout the day.
“The second batch is a little heavier and the roads cooled from that first round of snow so there will be slushy accumulations throughout the Omaha metro.”
And just when you thought you could put the snow shovel away, Chermok says we will have several more days of winter.
“Have another round of snow coming in Saturday and probably one the first of next week so no big warm up.”
Chermok says the only good news is most of the snow today will melt as daytime temperatures are expected to be well above freezing.
