The latest aid estimates show many school districts in Nebraska receiving less aid then expected. Education committee member Lincoln State Senator Bill Avery says in his community of Lincoln schools are receiving more than $13 million less in State aid for schools. He is chagrined to see that number be so large but says the state aid formula is the same for all 253 school districts.
“You can’t fix it for one district without affecting everybody.”
Avery says all have to step up and be a part of the solution to the big deficit in the state budget.
