Kellie McCann-Smith, is going to leave the Nebraska women’s basketball program to go to a school closer to her home in Asotin, WA.
McCann Smith is a 5’9 guard who played in Nebraska’s first 22 games before sitting out the final nine with a back injury. She averaged 3.0 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
She is the second woman to leave the program. On March 14 news, sophomore forward Katya Leick was leaving the Huskers. Leick started nine games for NU and averaged 5.1 points and 4.5 rebounds.
