It was another tight game between the Lincoln Stars and Fargo Force in game two of their opening USHL playoff series, but Fargo knocked out Lincoln for the second time in three seasons with a 4-2 final. Lincoln has lost five straight playoff games against Fargo.
Tanner Kero put the Force ahead in the first period, but it was short-lived as Ryan Dzingel pulled the Stars even just 46 seconds later.
Colten St. Clair scored the only goal of the second period to put the Force ahead, but Rasmus Juell again tied the game early in the third. After scoring just three goals in the regular season. Joe Rehkamp scored his second of the playoffs which broke the tie and proved to be the game-winner for the Force.
Brian Cooper added an empty goal while goaltender Ryan Massa stopped 20 shots to close out the series. Stars goalie Kevin Murdock made 40 saves in the loss.
