Danny Woodhead had heard discouraging words since he was in high school. He wasn’t big enough, durable enough or good enough to play big-time college football, let alone think about a career in the National Football League.
But Woodhead took advantage of every opportunity, every second chance to prove his critics wrong. Today, he is living his dream as a running back for the NFL’s New England Patriots.
Woodhead’s journey is much like that of the boys and girls who have found hope and healing at Boys Town, and he will be sharing it with you at this year’s highly anticipated Boys Town Booster Banquet.
The Booster Banquet, which benefits and honors Boys Town student athletes, will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Omaha – La Vista Conference Center. You can purchase tickets for $90 each or a table of 10 can be purchased for $900.

Founded in 1967, the Boys Town Boosters is a group of Omaha business leaders who help raise funds and awareness for Boys Town student athletes. The Boosters recognize the achievements of student athletes at their annual fundraising dinner, which last year raised more than $100,000 to help Boys Town youth build success, character and sportsmanship through athletics.
