The UNO golf team had five of the top six finishers to earn their third straight MIAA championship on Tuesday at Tiffany Green Golf Club in Kansas City, MO. Dani Suponchick was the individual medalist for the second straight year as she and the Mavericks overcame cold and blustery conditions to post a resounding win over the league’s five other teams.
The Mavs finished with a two-day score of 652, 54 strokes ahead of runner up Truman State which finished at 706. Missouri Western, which was second after day one, finished in third at 707. Fort Hays State took fourth at 711 followed by Northwest Missouri State (728) and Lincoln (768).
