The Sidney police force can boast that it now has two FBI National Academy graduates. Lieutenant Keith Andrew graduated March 18 from the 244th Session in Quantico, Virginia after a ten-week program at the FBI Academy. Andrew says, “It’s an honor to go. It brings a lot of perspective on an international basis on law enforcement that can be beneficial to the community.” The program provides advanced investigative, management and fitness training for officers that are nominated by the FBI to attend. Andrew says less than one percent of all U.S. law enforcement are invited. Andrew says new police chief Mike Brown completed the 233rd class a few years ago, giving Sidney a second FBI Academy grad.
