The 14th-ranked Nebraska softball swept South Dakota State on Wednesday with wins of 9-1 and 1-0 in a doubleheader at Bowlin Stadium.
With the wins, Nebraska improved to 34-9 on the season, including 30-3 against non-conference opponents. Junior right-hander Ashley Hagemann earned the win in game one to improve to 24-8 on the season, with a two-hitter. Offensively, senior Heidi Foland led the Husker offense going 2-for-3 day with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
In the second, Tatum Edwards threw a one hit shutout. Her twin Taylor drove in the game’s only run. The Huskers wrap up their six-game homestand this weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday against Texas Tech.
