After a first round selection for the second year in a row, the University of Nebraska had four more players taken in the later rounds of the NFL Draft and three players were selected by the Washington Redskins.
Kicker Alex Henery was picked in the fourth round by Philadelphis with the 120th pick overall. Henery finished his career as the most accurate kicker in D-I football.
Just before Henery, running back Roy Helu Jr. was chosen by Washington with the 105th pick. In the fifth round, defensive back DeJon Gomes was the 146th pick after getting that pick from the Miami Dolphins. Nine selections later, wide receiver Niles Paul was scooped up the Redskins with the 155th pick.
