The Lincoln Journal Star is reporting that Nebraska men’s basketball coach Doc Sadler will hire Jeremy Cox as an assistant coach to replace Tracy Webster, yet Sadler says he can’t officially make the name available. Cox coached under and succeeded Sadler at Arkansas-Fort Smith, then was an assistant to Billy Gillispie at Texas A&M and Kentucky before joining Stan Heath’s staff at South Florida, where Cox has spent the past two seasons.
Sadler did announce that junior college All-American Dylan Talley of Camden, N.J. has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play basketball for the Husker program. The 6’5-5 guard was rated this week as the No. 11 junior college player nationally in the class of 2011 by JucoRecruiting.com, and could provide Sadler with a nice scoring option next season.
