A bill that would ban so called web cam abortions is being passed on first round by the Unicameral. It prevents a doctor from watching over the patient by remote means. Senator Amanda Mcgill says the nurse is still present.
“The doctors is walking into the room, handing the patient the drugs, and giving the warnings, everything up to that point is with a nurse practitioner or other medical provider.”
Bill sponsor Senator Tony Fulton of Lincoln says the Doctor needs to be present for patient safety.
