The Nebraska baseball team needs a sweep to qualify for next week’s Big 12 conference tournament, while Missouri is currently in sixth place in the league standings ahead of Texas Tech, Kansas State, Kansas and Nebraska as they try to claim one of eight spots in the championship.
Although Nebraska has dropped its last four Big 12 series, three of those opponents currently make up the top three in the conference standings (Texas A&M, Texas and Oklahoma). The Huskers will be facing a Tiger squad that started slow, but has been hot late with four straight Big 12 series wins. The series matchups:
Thursday, 6:35 p.m.: NU’s Logan Ehlers, fr. lh (1-3, 4.26) vs. Eric Anderson, so., rh (2-0, 5.12)
Friday, 6:35 p.m.: NU’s Tyler Niederklein, so., rh (7-3, 4.26) vs. Matt Stites, jr., rh (3-5, 3.54)
Saturday, 3:05 p.m.: NU pitcher TBA vs. Rob Zastryzny, fr., lh (2-4, 4.17)
