Attorney General Jon Bruning says the assault charge was filed against Washington County Deputy Sheriff Dale Johnson following an investigation into allegation of domestic assault involving a female 911 dispatcher. Bruning says an investigation by the Blair Police Department and the Washington County Sherriff’s office showed Johnson was in a personal relationship with the dispatcher. He allegedly struck her during an argument. Bruning says that Nebraskans expect more from those sworn to uphold the law.
