Parenting magazine ranks Nebraska’s two largest cities among the nation’s top places to raise a family.
Omaha is listed at the eighth-best place in the country to raise a family.
The magazine calls Omaha a “quaint” Midwestern city, and cites Omaha’s “strong schools” and “thriving job market” as some of the reasons the city is near the top on the list of “100 Best Cities for Families.”
Lincoln is ranked 19th. Some nearby Midwestern cities made the list, too.
The Minnesota Twin Cities were ranked fourth and Des Moines, Iowa was ranked fifth. St. Louis was number 11 and Kansas City was number 14.
