Nebraskans who are looking for jobs should have a decent shot at finding one in the third quarter, according to the latest Manpower survey.
Spokeswoman Kathy Joblinske says companies across the state were asked about their hiring plans for July through September.
She says 28% of the companies questioned planned to hire on new staff, about 5% plan to reduce their workforce while 64% plan no changes at all. Joblinske says that’s a “bullish” pace and ranks the second-best in the country.
Nebraska’s job market is expected to be among the strongest in nation, she says, with an agressive pace for hiring for the third quarter.
The net employment outlook for the quarter is 23% compared to the second quarter, when the outlook was only eight-percent.
