The Big Ten Network is planning to kick off a full weekend of Husker television programming on Friday to welcome NU to the Big Ten. Also on tap are online chats with former Nebraska players Tommie Frazier and Ahman Green.
Included in the programming are in-depth looks at the 1994, 1995 and 1997 national championship teams in football, the 2006 national title volleyball team and the 2005 College World Series Husker baseball team.
On Friday — when NU officially enters the Big Ten — BTN will have a one-hour welcome wagon at 11 a.m. The show will be replayed 13 times during the weekend. The spotlight on Nebraska runs through Sunday.
Friday highlights include the 1998 Orange Bowl (a 42-17 win over Tennessee) at noon and the 1995 Orange Bowl (a 24-17 comeback win over Miami) at 3:30 p.m. Green, an All-America I-back on the 1997 national title team, will participate in an online chat during the first game, while Frazier checks in for his chat during the second game.
Both chats will be docked at www.btn.com. Nebraska fans wanting to ask Green or Frazier questions can do so via twitter with the hash tag #NebraskaDays.
