Gavin Dickey extended his franchise-best hit streak to 22 games as the Saltdogs downed the Wichita Wingnuts 8-5 on Thursday night.
Lincoln scored seven runs in the first four innings to jump out to a 7-1 lead. Dickey had three hits and now has 10 in his last three games. Blake Gailen and Pat Trettel each booked two-hit nights as well. Phil Hawke and Joe Ramos contributed with two RBIs a piece.
Tim Brown (5-6) pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits while striking out three to earn the win. PJ Zocchi struck out the final batter of the game to earn his 13th save of the campaign.
All nine Saltdogs starters had a hit in the club’s fourth consecutive win, the longest streak of the season.
