An initial 20 players began play for the 2011 Match Play Championship, with 16 making the cut after stroke play. Standing with a top rank, shooting 71 in the qualifying round, was Mary Narzisi of Omaha. Other top seeded players, all qualifying with 72, included, McKayla Anderson of Fremont, Kayla Knopik of Papillion, and Erin Ommen of Omaha.
Results of the Round of 16 include an upset of the number two seed, Erin Ommen defeated by number 15 seed Emily Gondringer of Omaha 4 and 2 as well as number 9 Remylee Molyneux defeating Rebecca Pollock, number 8 seed 3 and 1. UNO golfer Katelyn Wright defeated Maggie Kersenbrock of Omaha in 21 holes.
