Four welcome home ceremonies are planned for the citizen-soldiers, who’ve been deployed about nine months in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The first of the rallies is slated for Sunday morning at Lincoln’s East High School. Governor Heineman is expected to be there, along with the Guard’s Adjutant General Judd Lyons.
Two more welcome home celebrations are planned for Monday in Fremont and in Hastings, with the final group coming home Tuesday, again at Lincoln East High.
All four units are part of the 1-134th Cavalry.
