Fan Day will take place Friday at Memorial Stadium from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Don’t forget about the construction around Memorial Stadium that will affect traffic and parking. Gates 3 (Southwest) and 24 (Southeast) will be available for fans to enter the stadium. Rosters and autograph cards will be available at those gates. To move lines quickly, fans are reminded to limit their autograph requests to one item per player or coach.
Nebraska men’s basketball coach Doc Sadler and members of his staff will make stops in Grand Island, Columbus and Lincoln on Aug. 18 as part of the Husker Hoops Coaches Caravan.
The times and locations are as follows:
*Grand Island, 9-10 a.m., Heartland Events Center in the Bosselman Conference Center;
*Columbus, noon-1 p.m., Husker Helicopter Hanger, north of Columbus Community Hospital off 48th street;
*Lincoln, 5-6 p.m., Embassy Suites, 1040 P Street.
The event will preview Nebraska’s first season in the Big Ten Conference and provide sneak peeks of the Nebraska’s new practice facility, the Hendricks Training Complex, scheduled to open Oct. 12, with an open house for fans tentatively set for Oct. 15.
The Nebraska women’s basketball team leaving today for a four game, 11 day tour in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. NU was 13-18 last year. They announced three more non-conference games for this season. NU will play USC on Nov. 18 and Creighton on Dec. 8 at the Devaney Sports Center. NU will play at Florida State on Nov. 27
