The Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team has been picked to win the 2011 RMAC regular season volleyball title. UNK and long-time rival Metro State are the favorites by far. Chadron State who went 2-24 last season was picked last.
The Lopers have won a share of the RMAC regular season title the past seven years. During this stretch, UNK won the title outright five times (2010, 2009, 2008, 2005, 2004).
The Wayne State volleyball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2011 Northern Sun Conference Preseason Volleyball Coaches Poll. Four-time defending NCAA Division II national champion Concordia-St. Paul was the unanimous pick to win the NSIC volleyball title with 13 first place votes followed by Southwest Minnesota State in second and Minnesota Duluth third.
The Lopers were picked sixth in the national coaches poll, while the Wildcats come in ninth.
