The Nebraska soccer team outshot Baylor 22-5, but settled for a 1-1 tie after 90 minutes of regulation and two overtimes. Sophomore forward Stacy Bartels notched the fifth goal of her NU career and the first of the 2011 season at 59:28 when she tied the game with a 25-yard shot.
The Huskers 22 shots included three on goal from junior Morgan Marlborough and two each from Bartels and Jordan Jackson. Michaella Fulmer, Mayme Conroy and Maddie Hanssler also had shots on goal, but Baylor goalie Courtney Seelhorst made nine saves.
Dana Larsen gave Baylor an early lead at 14:56 when she beat NU goalkeeper Emma Steven one-on-one from 10-yards out to give the Bears a 1-0 advantage.
The Huskers will now take their 0-1-1 record on the road to Denver, Colo., where they will face the University of Denver Pioneers. at 7 p.m. (CT) start on Thursday, Aug. 25.
