A Bellevue police officer was injured Tuesday night while serving an arrest warrant. Captain Herb Evers says the suspect, Kyle Porter wasn’t going to go quietly. Police say Porter started a fight and broke an officer’s collar bone. That officer’s partner then tried to taze Porter but it was ineffective and Porter ran.
Officers soon received information that Porter was holing up in a house. Police entered the residence and found Porter hiding under a bed. He was then taken into custody with no further problems.
Porter now faces felony assault and drug charges. The officer was treated at a hospital. His name has not been released.
