Now that Missouri River levels are dropping, property owners will have more problems to deal with. Bob Arritt is the owner of B2 Environmental; a hazardous condition clean up company and says some owners are just getting into their damaged buildings and homes to see the damage.
There will be some lucky ones. Aritt says some home and business owners will have minor repairs to make. That may be replacing damaged drywall and carpeting to treating wall studs and frames. Arritt says for others, the property may be a total loss and will need to be raised.
There is still a lot of property sitting in water and insurance adjustors haven’t been able to do a damage estimate. Many will feel the impact of the flood for years to come.
