As the Huskers prepare for the Washington Huskies, offensive coordinator Tim Beck talks about where he would like to see improvement.
In the first two games, Taylor Martinez has rushed the ball 34 times, averaging almost nine yards a carry, but ball control has been an issue and Beck has seen some things on film that he hopes will help fix the problem.
One thing we didn’t see was a lot of substituting on the offensive line. Coach Barney Cotton said he normally would like to rotate in eight players, but could only get six.
In general, the line continues to be a work in progress, in particular young guys like Spencer Long, Tyler Moore, and Andrew Rodriquez. Cotton would like to see improvement.
