For the 14th time out of 15 years, U-S News and World Report Creighton University’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Pat Borchers says Creighton mad several other lists as well. Creighton ranked as the top best value university in the Midwest for giving students the best return on their investment dollar. Creighton was ranked among the best 25 universities nationwide in terms of giving students service learning opportunities. Other schools that made the list include Duke, Penn and Ohio State.
Borchers says future students and their parents pay attention to these rankings and he believes it boosts enrollment. He says they have almost 70 students in this year’s freshman class from Hawaii, a place that Creighton does not receive a lot of publicity.
Borchers says enrollment is up 1% to 2% again this year with about 7,400 students.
Several Nebraska colleges and universities also made the Midlist list:
Hastings College at 13th.
UNK – 44th.
Midland University – 54th.
York College -63rd.
Chadron State – 68th.
College of St. Mary – 81st.
Wayne State – 98th.
