Nebraska offensive coordinator Tim Beck said he was impressed with the Gophers this year saying he expects a challenge on Saturday.
You’ll hear an offense talk a lot about controlling the clock, time of possession a big key, keep your defense off the field, but while Nebraska has been losing that battle with opponents, one factor in their favor is the type of tempo Beck’s offense runs and he says it has a big effect on the opposition in the second half. The numbers certainly back up Beck’s claim. 131 of the Huskers 222 points have been scored in the second half, almost 60% of their points coming after halftime.
After missing two games with an injury Beck said he’s excited to have freshman running back Braylon Heard back.
