Nebraska’s unemployment rate is holding steady, again.
The state Labor Department says Nebraska’s jobless rate remains at 4.2% for September. It was the same in August — and in July.
A year ago, the unemployment rate was just slightly higher at 4.5%.
Labor officials say to industries in the Husker State are seeing the best job growth during the month: professional and business services added more than 2,000 jobs statewide, while education and health services added more than 900.
Nebraska’s jobless rate is less than half of the national rate of 9.1%.
