Nebraska lawmakers continue to work on legislation regarding oil pipeline location in the state. U-S Senator Mike Johanns is keeping tabs on what is happening but has not yet read any of the proposed bills. He does say Congress can provide oversight on decision made and Senator Chair Barbara Boxer of California can call a hearing for oversight regarding the President’s decision but for now it is in the hands of President Obama.
Obama will deny the permit by saying we have no problem with buying oil from Canada but the pipeline us routed the wrong place in the state of Nebraska. Again, Senator Johanns says the decision to deny or grant TransCanada the permit for the Keystone Pipeline is in the President’s court.
