It will be quite an adventure for students at Southeast Community College. All three campuses are taking part in Money Smart Nebraska Week and Student Support Services spokesperson Shawna Kolbek says this week is geared to educate students about how to use money wisely.
Each campus will participate in different activities. Students in Beatrice can take part in seminars covering checking and savings accounts, student loans and grants, insurance and investing.
Students in Lincoln can take part in a number of contests covering debt management, student loans and banking. Students will also learn about taxes and how to set up a food budget.
Those attending the Milford campus are eligible to take part in scavenger hunts, financial trivia games and “Financial Football”.
Those taking part could win prizes, enter drawings for scholarships or complete an activity and receive money for tuition.
