A happy “tail” ending for the 65 Chihuahuas removed from an overcrowded home in Falls City last August. Those 65 dogs were brought to the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha and spokesperson Pam Wiese says most will be spending their first holiday season in their new home.
Wiese says there are 7 or 8 dogs currently in foster care. Several continue to recover from surgery. Two dogs had puppies and they are waiting to wean the little ones before finding new homes for all. A few are still need socialization skills as they are extremely shy.
Once the dogs in foster care are ready they will be eligible for adoption.
