I was confident there would not be a letdown by the Nebraska women’s basketball team after their upset win over #23 USC on Friday. NU came out and took care of business in a 70-50 win over Savannah State.
Sophomore forward Jordan Hooper led Nebraska with 15 points and eight rebounds, while junior point guard Lindsey Moore, just named Big Ten player of the week, pitched in 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals as the only two Huskers in double figures.
The Huskers entered the game allowing just 48.7 points per game through the first three games and held the Lady Tigers to just 18 first-half points to carry a 38-18 lead into the locker room at the break.
With the win, NU improves to 4-0. The Huskers hit the road for the first time this season when they head to Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday to take on Florida A&M
