Big Ten/ACC Challenge in College Basketball continues tonight with Husker men and women in action. The Husker men host an ACC school for the first time as they take on Wake Forest with an 8:15 tip. Doc Sadler’s teams are usually known for defense, but are scoring at a nice clip this season averaging nearly 73 points a game. Leading the way for the 4-1 Huskers is Bo Spencer, averaging 16 points and 4.2 assists and Dylan Talley, off the bench, averaging 12 points and five rebounds.
The NU women, 6-0, are in Atlanta taking on Georgia Tech. NU took care of another ACC school on Sunday on the road tripping up #23 Florida State 66-63. Jordan Hooper is averaging over 18 points and nine rebounds per game.
Last night in the first half of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, #2 Ohio State just dominated #4 Duke 85-63 in Columbus. #15 Michigan was upset on the road losing at Virginia 70-58. The rest of the schedule rounded out with Illinois over Maryland, Northwestern winning at Georgia Tech, and Purdue topping Miami. Iowa was beat at home by Clemson. A good first night for the Big Ten, going 4-2.
