Omaha unveiled a new way for residents and Nebraska visitors to the city to stay better informed during a snow storm. Heather Tippy-Pierce is with Omaha’s Public Works Department and says the now have a new phone app for Droid and I-Phone users.
Users will be able to see immediately if they are in a snow emergency. That means the odd-even parking system east of 72nd Street in residential areas is in place. The app also directs them to other sites including road conditions and forecast updates.
Those wanting the app can search by entering “Omaha Snow”. The app is available to Droid users now and the I-Phone version will be available in a few days.
