Carl Pelini was introduced Monday as the new head coach at Florida Atlantic. Pelini’s contract is for five years, with a $450,000 base salary in his first season. With annual raises, the deal is worth a total of $2.49 million. (Under his most recent contract at Nebraska, Pelini made $375,000 a year.) Pelini says he feels this Owl’s program is the right fit for him, a program he calls a sleeping giant.
