It was an off day yesterday for the Huskers, but earlier this week sophomore cornerback Andrew Green said it was more about getting back to fundamentals. That changes today when the Huskers start installing game plans for the Gamecocks at the Capital One Bowl.
USC has lots of speed at the wideout position and a new leader at quarterback after senior Stephen Garcia was cut from the team. The crafty quarterback is Connor Shaw. He completes over 65% of his passes, he’s thrown for 1,200 yards with 12 touchdowns and six picks. He’s also run for 632 yards, so he is a guy who can take off or buy time to find an open receiver. Green says the Husker secondary will have to be disciplined.
