The Nebraska women’s basketball team returns to the Devaney Center after taking a week off from competition for Final Exams to take on Vermont Sunday afternoon.
Tip-off between the Huskers (9-1) and Catamounts (6-3) is set for 2:05 p.m., and will mark the end of the three-year series between the two schools.
The Huskers return to the Devaney Center after closing road non-conference action with a thrilling 97-88 double-overtime victory at Northern Arizona last Saturday. The win over the Lumberjacks marked NU’s first double-overtime road victory since 1982 and just the second overall in school history.
Sophomore sensation Jordan Hooper led the Huskers with a career-high 32 points to go along with eight rebounds and four steals. Her performance helped her secure the first Big Ten Conference Player-of-the-Week award of her career. Junior point guard Lindsey Moore added 31 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals to earn Big Ten Player-of-the-Week honors from CollegeSports Madness.com.
