Nebraska’s jobless picture is improving, slightly.
The state Labor Department says Nebraska’s unemployment rate has fallen after holding steady for four straight months.
The jobless rate for November dropped to 4.1%, down just one-tenth of a point from 4.2% in October, where it’s sat since July.
State labor officials say the Nebraska unemployment rate is still well below half the national rate, which fell slightly to 8.6% for the month.
The state’s current rate is also lower than a year ago, when we were at 4.4% and the national rate was just shy of 10%.
