The Creighton women’s basketball team picked up its first Missouri Valley Conference win of the season Thursday night at D.J. Sokol Arena, cruising to a 65-33 win over Evansville. Carli Tritz led the balanced scoring attack with 15 points, while Jordan Garrison added a career-high 11 points off the bench. The Bluejays held Evansville to the fewest points by a CU opponent since 1978 in the 32-point victory.
Tritz made 5-of-10 shots and 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. Garrison made 3-of-4 three-points and 4-of-5 shots for her career-best 11 points. The 33 points by the Aces were the fewest scored by a Bluejay opponent since the Jays held Nebraska Wesleyan to 31 on Nov. 28, 1978.
