Bo Spencer scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half as the Nebraska men’s basketball team battled back from a 15 point halftime deficit, but come up short losing at Northwestern 84-74.
The Huskers didn’t waste much time coming out of the locker room after the break and managed to cut the lead to 54-53 with just over ten minutes to play. However, the Wildcats were strong with their three point shooting hitting, 14 of 31. Northwestern used that in going on a 9-0 run right after Nebraska cut the lead to one, and managed the game from there.
Bo Spencer led three Huskers (11-10, 3-7 Big Ten) in double figures with 24 points for his sixth 20-point game of the season. Toney McCray added 16 points and five rebounds, while Dylan Talley added 13 points off the bench, as the Huskers shot 52 percent from the floor in a losing effort.
