13th ranked Nebraska was just 4 of 30 from the field and 1 for 15 from three point range in the first half, as NU missed 17 straight shots including 11 straight three point attempts in their 63-52 loss to Michigan. The Huskers fell behind by 27 points, but kept playing defense and with the Devaney Center crowd still behind them, NU managed to cut the deficit to eight in the second half, but couldn’t get any closer. Coach Connie Yori just called it one of those nights.
The Huskers cut the Michigan margin to eight at 58-50 on a Jordan Hooper jumper with 2:02 left. Hooper finished with 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds, but hit just 4-of-19 shots from the field, including just 1-of-8 three-pointers. Lindsey Moore finished with a game-high 23 points, and hit 5-of-13 threes and 8-of-18 shots overall from the field, added four assists and four steals to lead the Huskers in both categories.
