It won’t be long before we again hear the crack of the bat. Nebraska’s minor league baseball team, the Omaha Storm Chasers, is getting ready for the season. Assistant General Manager Rob Crain says last year they hired about 300 part time workers. He says this year they plan to hire an additional 125 employees.
Crain says they have openings in a number of areas ranging from the Storm Girls promotional team, concessions, ushers, parking, ticket sales, bat boys and many others.
For those in the eastern part of the state who love baseball and want summer employment, a job fair will be held Saturday at Midlands Hospital in Papillion from 9am until 1pm.
