Brandon Ubel scored a career high 17 points on 7 of 7 shooting, but the entire Nebraska men’s basketball team made just 36.5% of their shots and lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes 62-53 on Senior Night at the Devaney Center.
The turning point in the game came six minutes into the second half. Nebraska was within 34-32 after a Caleb Walker dunk, but Roy Devyn Marble keyed a 15-3 run that gave Iowa their largest lead of the night at 49-35. Marble had eight of his 11 points in the spurt, including consecutive 3-pointers that pushed the Iowa lead to double figures for the first time at 45-35 with 11:26 left.
